Extremely Confused Woman Can’t Figure Out Which Side Her Gas Tank Is On…

We’ve all done it. We pull into the gas station in a hurry and get out of the car to start pumping the gas. But once we go to flip open the cover on the gas lid, we realize we pulled in the wrong way. No big deal, right? We simply get back in the car and pull the right way into another spot.If it’s at that easy, then why does the woman below have such a difficult time pulling in the right way?

And not only does she mess up the whole pulling into the gas station on the right side one time, but it takes her a whopping four times before she gets it right.Hey, let’s cut her some slack. Perhaps she was really stressed. Maybe she was on the phone and in a deep conversation and didn’t realize what she was doing. The one thing we know for sure is that a little forethought could have greatly simplified the whole situation.

Here’s a quick look at a few other situations that could have used a little forethought.

Worst Parking Job Ever

Let’s keep it real. If it takes you 97 attempts to back out of a parking spot, you might be a ______. You can fill in the blank. A driver in Calgary, Canada not too long ago was caught on camera backing out of a parking spot, and the involved effort ended up leading to a traffic ticket. After you see this you’ll clearly notice why a ticket was issued.

What could have helped this situation? If you’re thinking the word forethought, then you’re exactly right! Taking just a few seconds to sit back and carry out “careful consideration of what will be necessary or may happen in the future” can help you perform simple and complex tasks the right way the first time around.

Staying Up To Late

Here’s another one that we’ve all done — staying up too late. For some reason, humans have a momentary lapse of judgment in which they think their bodies will naturally produce amphetamines, thus helping them stay awake all night and all day without any major side effects. Truth is, though, when we stay up too late with the hopes of waking up early the next morning, the most of us feel like absolute crap. What’s the remedy? Getting eight hours of sleep!

Drinking Too Much Alcohol

Here’s another situation that many of us have found ourselves in that could have been completely avoided with a little forethought — drinking too much and expecting to feel okay the next day.

If you feel compelled to have a night out on the town and get a little tipsy, why not just put forth a little forethought and agree with yourself that you’re going to have no more than four drinks? And by drinks, this doesn’t mean shoot back four 12 oz drinks full of whiskey, vodka and sweet and sour mix. Instead, try four glasses of wine, or four simple shots of tequila. And do your best to space them out over a period of three to four hours.

Posting Updates While Under The Influence

It’s a mistake that you definitely want to avoid, and it’s quite easy to do so — don’t get on social media platforms if you have been drinking.
Not only do you make yourself look like a _____ (fill in the blank again), but if your boss was to come across one of your drunk tweets or status updates, you very well may find yourself out of a job. Take for example that you make a drunk tweet at 5 AM on a Thursday morning only to show up to work an hour and a half later. If you were drunk at 5, you’ll probably still be drunk at 6:30, right?

Avoiding Bills Until They Are Due

You’d be surprised to know just how many people live paycheck to paycheck. And while some of them have no choice, many of them actually do. Instead of saving their income from one week to the next, they blow their money on unnecessary expenses, always putting aside their bills until they are due.
If you’re one of these people, perhaps a little forethought will help you see that life doesn’t have to be lived in a way in which you barely make it from one week to the next. Instead, saving just a bit of money from one week to the next can help you lessen your stress and become financially responsible.

The Takeaway

So what’s it going to be? Are you going to be one of those people who ends up with a viral picture, GIF or something else on the web due to a dumb choice you’ve made? Hopefully not, and the best way to avoid this is by using forethought!
